Trips to Brooklyn always excite me because I feel like a tourist every time. Before my quick five minute train ride, I always have an agenda so I don’t walk around aimlessly and lose precious time. But my last trip was the complete opposite. I was on my way to find vintage denim shorts and got caught in a massive rainstorm. I ran to the closest restaurant and ended up at Cafe Collette. I fell in love with the place not only for the aesthetic, but also the employees were so personable and the food was oh-so delicious. For the three hours I spent to hide from the torrential down pour, I enjoyed not one, but two iced cafe coco with avocado toast and a side of sausage. The people watching was interesting and always makes the time go by faster. This spot is perfect for small group brunch or a solo trip to catch up on some reading and sip on a latte.
